November through the Holiday season usually gets pretty crazy for video games fans as publishers scramble to make sure they have a product for Christmas sales. As a result, there may just be a title or two that you missed.
You probably avoided a licensed title like the plague, but Avalanche Studios (Just Cause 3) manages to pull off a beautiful and amusingly violent product.
Everybody knows The Dark Souls series and it’s insane level of difficulty, this has all that with just a touch of classic Zelda.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Actually released back in 2014, Woldenstein: The New Order tells the fascinating story of a WWII where the Nazis won. Old Blood is a standalone expansion pack and prequel to that story, where you infiltrate the legendary Castle Wolfenstein. Total nostalgia.
Another licensed title that you probably avoided for all the right reasons. Devastation is actually a throw back to the 1980s cartoon and not the Michael Bay movies. As a bonus, the story is written by Andy Schmidt, who wrote several of the Marvel Transformers comics.
A must play for fans of existential horror games. If you were a fan of the original Silent Hill 2, you’ll love this.
Tales From The Borderlands
Doing a Telltale version of the Borderlands universe didn’t seem like the most obvious fit. But fans of their Walking Dead games won’t be disappointed here.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition
This game probably got lost in the sheer level of RPGs that are out there these days. But the game is so rich and rewarding, that fans of titles like Dragon Age: Origins or The Witcher 3 owe it to themselves to give it a go.
