Video games and movies haven’t always made the best bed fellows. However, with great licensed titles like this year’s Mad Max game being a clear exception to the rule, we can’t help but assert which movies would make great games.

The Avengers

There actually was an Avengers game in the works where you would play as each Avenger in first person. It looked great and we can’t but still lust over the idea of smashing through a wall as the Hulk or repulser blasting enemies in mid-flight as Iron Man.

Fast and Furious

There have been a few mobile games, but it would seem that the obvious thing would be for this franchise to take on the Need For Speed format which was inspired by the Fast movies in the first place.

The church scene alone already looks like a video game, but we’d see it as an open-world title that allows for driving as well as gunplay ala Grand Theft Auto.

A paced and measured thriller, a game could combine mystery and action in the style of Alan Wake.

Another title that pretty much feels like it’s already a video game. It could basically just be Max Payne with more kung-fu.

Horror survival at its finest. A multiplayer mode could feature 4 human players versus one possessed.

Inglorious Basterds

We’re absolutely dreaming if we think Tarantino would ever allow one his films to be ported into a video game. But just imagine taking control of your own Basterd and liberating Nazi-occupied France in the style of Assassin’s Creed or maybe even Far Cry.
