Video games and movies haven’t always made the best bed fellows. However, with this year’s Warcraft and upcoming Assassin’s Creed movies looking like it might finally be an exception to the rule, we can’t help but think of some of other titles that we wish would get the big screen treatment.

“Wait but what about those like 862 live-action Resident Evil movies starting what’s-her-name?” I hear you ask. Those movies have more or less just lifted things from the game and dropped them into their own narrative. We’d like to see the original games done properly thank you very much. Especially 4.
Far Cry 3
One could argue that might do equally well as a TV-series, but there’s such a wonderful character arc that occurs through the games protagonist, Jason Brody, that it’s practically a screenwriter’s dream.
I mean, “duh”, right?
Gears of War
Like you wouldn’t buy a ticket to see this movie in 3D.
The Elder Scrolls

There is word that Nintendo will be making greater efforts to start their own film division, but I think we’d pretty happy if they handed the property over to Pixar like Marvel did with Big Hero 6.
Peter Jackson was once attatched to a live-action Halo movie, but since then a big-screen release seems to allude us an audience.
